The point is any number other than the ones mentioned above that the first roll of the dice produced. Let's say, that instead of a 7, an 8 came up on the first roll, that would be the point. Now that the point has been established, the last thing that you want to see is another 7. If you roll a 7, before you hit the 8, you lose. However, if you hit the 8 before the 7 comes up, you are a winner.
If all of that sounds just a little bit confusing, it really is not at all. In fact, most players are able to pick up the intricacies of the game in an hour or so. Learning how to play craps is not too hard at all. After you do though, be careful, because it is a great deal of fun, and one of the most exciting things that you can do with your free time.
