Learn How To Play Craps And Understanding It

Craps is a dice game that is one of the most popular games of chance that has ever been invented. It is played in virtually every casino in the world, regardless of its location. In addition, it is also played on street corners, pool parlors, and backrooms in bars all over the world. The reason that it is so well liked is relatively simple, it is possible to get very hot, and win a ton of money in a matter of minutes.

If you were to take all of the games of chance ever invented and try to come up with the one you could win the most money in the shortest amount of time, the game of craps would certainly be at the top of the list. Most of us, if not everybody has at one time either seen a movie or a TV show that was filmed in a casino. If so, then you have seen a crap table before.

Craps is a relatively easy game to understand. One person is given the set of dice, but everybody around the table can get in on the action and make bets based on what they think is going to happen. On the first throw you want to try and get a 7 or 11, if you do, you are an instant winner.

However, if the dice come up showing 2, 3, or 12, you are a loser. When the dice come up with the above numbers, it is called "Craps", which of course is where this game of chance got its name from. If you do not shoot a 7 or 11 and win, or a 2, 3, or 12 and lose, then you will be betting on the "Point", if you choose to continue playing.

The point is any number other than the ones mentioned above that the first roll of the dice produced. Let's say, that instead of a 7, an 8 came up on the first roll, that would be the point. Now that the point has been established, the last thing that you want to see is another 7. If you roll a 7, before you hit the 8, you lose. However, if you hit the 8 before the 7 comes up, you are a winner.

If all of that sounds just a little bit confusing, it really is not at all. In fact, most players are able to pick up the intricacies of the game in an hour or so. If you do not feeling like losing any money before you fully understand what is going on, there are all kinds of books and websites where you can learn craps strategy.

Learning how to play craps is not too hard at all. After you do though, be careful, because it is a great deal of fun, and one of the most exciting things that you can do with your free time. If you have ever played any other type of game of chance previously, then you should have no trouble picking up this one of a kind dice game.
