Beat the Bookmakers Betting on None League Football

None / lower league football is an area that is often overlooked by many punters and not something that is taken seriously. To the shrew punter however this could not be further from the truth. You would be surprised in today's world of internet gambling and online betting just how deep into the depths of football bookmakers are going. In England alone bookmakers are publishing prices as low as the Blue Square Premier North and South. These divisions are both 6 leagues off the top flight and few have extensive knowledge of these teams. This becomes a rather specialist area in football betting.

The key to beating any bookmaker is to create an 'edge'. To develop a greater understanding of the market than the bookmaker can obtain. In none league football this is very easy to achieve. Football is going on all of the time and bookmakers are constantly against the clock to provide prices for the forthcoming fixtures. When you go 6 leagues in to a countries football structure bookmakers often struggle to correctly price these fixtures. They often use information provided by others or snippets they can dig from the internet to plot the weekend's odds. This can create massive inaccuracies and something that the shrewd punter can capitalise on!

By simply looking at the league positions of the competing teams and spending an hour or 2 researching games these price inaccuracies become more apparent. It doesn't take a great deal of work to spot the overpriced teams caused by lack of bookmaker knowledge and these can be developed into value bets! This value is even visible on betting exchanges such as Betfair. As the prices on Betfair are user defined you would expected the pricing to be far more accurate than that of the bookmaker. It is marginally better but value is still on offer. Due to the lower level of interest in the lower league betting markets the exchange liquidity is far lower. This combined with a lower level of knowledge from your average punter often means that the value bets are still on offer.

The none league betting markets can be an absolute gold mind for football punters. They do not require a great deal of knowledge to make consistent profits from. Next time you move past the lower league fixtures when making your weekends selections think about the value on offer and the edge you can create over the bookmaker.
