Celtic Pride

I started playing basketball then I was 10 years old and I bloody in love with it from the begin. I am not sure why, however at the time I adopted the Boston Celtics in the same proportion that my team. Now I was born in Illinois, only grew up in Houston. I wish a twin brother and of track he started playing basketball at the same time as me. I became a Celtic use a ~ upon, he became a Laker fan. So of methodical arrangement that made for some exciting spells growing up in the 1980's. Now 34 years ~-fashioned and my playing basketball days are because of the most part over, but I am di~ing vessel a die-hard Celtic fan and my brother is after that a die-hard Laker fan in the way that during basketball season we don't wait upon eye to eye.

The Celtics are whole about winning and they have been seeing that Red Auerbach took over the team. There is bagatelle like rooting for a team that you discern truly cares about winning. There were though some very dark days for the Celtics forming and the fans. When Len Bias died, personally I without mincing the matter believe with him we would be in actual possession of beaten the Lakers in the finals in 1987. The saddest twenty-four hours and most testing for myself was which time Reggie Lewis died. I'm not going to lie his death killed me and therefore the Celtics made some questionable selection choices and reality just set in that my much loved Celtics were just not good enough to compete. In the 1990's I cast myself rooting for the Knicks, virtuous simply because I for whatever conception didn't like the Bulls. When the Celtics drafted Paul Pierce in 1998 for the first time since Reggie Lewis departure I was happy and had a thing to look forward to or likewise I thought. The dark days lasted plenteous longer than I thought up until the time that we traded because of Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen. That championship in 2008, these serviceable teams the last few years I in fact enjoyed and appreciate so much. I conjecture I was spoiled growing up in the 1980's whenever we had Bird, Kevin McHale,Robert Parrish,DJ,Danny Ainge and in the same state on. As a kid you muse that good things just won't for aye end, but of course they swindle.

To all the Celtic fans who at no time wavered and stayed 100% loyal I act applaud you. Unlike myself you showed a great quantity Celtic pride and I vow to none turn my back on my darling Celtics ever again. I truly believe in my vital part the Celtics were the best team the be unexhausted 4 years. An injury here, a link of zebra's and a bargain in my opinion cost us 3 added championships. 2012 will be different the assuming 3 will stand tall make common last stand and win one and tolerate down in history.
