ACC Tournament - 3 Teams To Watch

North Carolina Tarheels

Since some embarrassing outing in January where they were manhandled ~ the agency of Georgia Tech 78-58, the Tarheels receive won 13 of their last 14 games and approach into the tournament as the most prominent one seed. Roy Williams' team is young, except very talented. The Tarheels are with equal rea~n young they start two freshmen, brace sophomores, and a junior. But existence a young team is not what may be the Tarheels' downfall, it self-reliance be their lack of depth.

Roy Williams and nothing else goes about eight deep on his bench, which is not a problem in ut~ games. But in a tournament setting, anything can happen. Injuries, foul trouble, and lassitude are magnified in a win or ~ along home situation. If the Tarheels are going to connect the ACC tournament crown to reach along with their regular season garland, they are going to have to subsist able to overcome their lack of stillness.

Duke Blue Devils

The reigning NCAA champions come into the tournament as the support seed. Everyone's preseason favorite to hurry away with the ACC and NCAA inscription hasn't lived up to expectations uncorrupt yet. The Blue Devils ended their orderly season with a gaudy 27-4 enter, but seemingly have not put it all together. All American Kyle Singler has struggled from end to end the second half of the time and the injury to freshman Kyrie Irving has been a greater blow.

Despite these issues, the Blue Devils are to this time a major threat to win this tournament. They have many weapons at multiple positions and greatest number importantly, they have players that are battle tested. They know what it takes to gain the victory in a tournament setting because they did it merited last season. All it takes is beneficial to this team to get on a run and it could spell trouble beneficial to everyone else in the field.

Florida State Seminoles

The Seminoles arrive into the tournament as a surpassingly dangerous third seed. Not because of their offensive output, but because of their miserly defense. The Seminoles are ranked encompassing the top in many of the greater defensive categories in the nation and there are not many teams in the tournament that can match up with their greatness. We are all well aware of the Seminoles' gallantry on the defensive end, but allowing that they are going to win this tournament, they will need a stellar exploit at the offensive end as well.

Surprisingly, the Seminoles receive looked much better offensively since losing their best player in Chris Singleton to a add a ~ of injury. It seems that they are at this moment playing more team oriented basketball and it has shown up~ the body the scoreboard. If they can fulfil that up and continue to operate the lock down defense that we are used to, they could have existence the sleeper to take home the tournament crown.
